Think Pink and Be Thankful!

I know it is Friday, so we will recognize this post as a Thankful Thursday post, just a bit delayed!

My mind and my heart are absolutely overwhelmed and full of love for all of the wonderful people who come together each October for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Women like my SIL “D” are able to fight, survive, recover, and find support like never before because of the efforts of so many.  Awesomeness!

How can you make a difference?  How can you “Think Pink” for October?

♥  Top on the list is prayer.  Pray for those who have just found out they have breast cancer.  Pray for those who are going into surgery.  Pray for those who are facing treatment.  Pray for those who are facing and unsure future.  Pray for their families.  Pray for their healing.  Pray for God to give them His strength, His peace, His healing, and for their relationship with Him.

♥ How about joining a Breast Cancer Awareness run/ walk?  Ms. Firecracker (11), Little Man (7), and I will be walking in the 5k in Birmingham.

♥In honor of the women fighting breast cancer and in memory of those who lost their brave battles, Lissy @LifeWithLissy (blog) is hosting a Pink October Giveaway.    People have let the generosity flow by donating some wonderful prizes.  Each and every day of October Lissy will be giving away a new prize.

If you have anything that you would be willing to donate as a prize, please contact her.  Her Facebook page is Life With Lissy.

What are some of the prizes?

~The month will kick off with a necklace from Sassy Sweet Designs by Renee.

~Shear Designs LLC is donating pink feather hair extensions.

~Sheraz Cromely, with Mary Kay, is donating a Velocity perfume stick.

~Three Moons is donating a custom hat creation that is too adorable.

~The Hooker In Me is donating pink Croc-inspired baby booties.  Oh, the sweetness!

~I am donating some of my “Save the TaTa’s” handmade goat milk soap, 2 days worth!

And there is much more!

So much to be thankful for.

I would be completely remiss if I don’t take a moment to remind you *women* to do monthly self-check breast exams.  You can the deciding factor in your own health!!

Hug the women in your life, starting with yourself.  {{{hugs}}}  And here is a hug from me!

What are you thankful for this week?

In God’s mighty hands,
