Trying a new hobby August 13, 2007

I have been listening to all the hype for years now about scrapbooking.  People spend big bucks and mega time doing it.  I am not interested in going crazy about it but I have decided to give it a try.  I am not an artsy-craftsy person but I am a very creative person.  I am looking at scrapbooking as putting a puzzle together where you get to choose the pieces.  I have a book and even a couple baby girl sticker things that I got today.  I am starting by making a “new baby girl” page for my 5 month old Ms. Suesue.  I have 4 other girls and a boy to do as well.  My plan is to make a book for each one covering their birth, firsts and a special moments I like.   I figure it will take a good while to find the pictures, decide what to do and actually do it but I like the idea of it being an ongoing creative process that I can do when I feel like it.  I am looking forward to doing my first page.  If anyone has any pointers, suggestions or such please comment!  I would love to hear what you have to say.   :)  My page ideas so far are births, first haircuts, first time at beach, some birthdays, some Christmas’ and really cute shots of them.  Maybe a sweet as candy page for those “too cute shots”.
