Tackle it Tuesday February 12, 2008
I am finally getting my tackle for today up. Woo Hoo! This is actually a 4 part tackle. Today was part 1.
Let me introduce you to the players:
This is a 5 1/2 foot t-post.

This is what I call a pounder.

After teeth jarring pounding your t-post is in the ground like this.

There are now 14 t-posts all the way around the veggie garden. I also have put in two wooden posts to hang the gate on. They are recycled so I had to remove old fencing off of them. It was killer on my hands but I got them all cleaned up. Here is what one of them looked like as I was removing the fencing and nails and such.

Short Man (9) and I also temporarily put up the fencing to see how much I have and how much I need. That is part two of this saga. Actually putting the fencing on the t-posts. Parts 3 and 4 are making and hanging the gate and a final tilling of the compost and peat moss into the garden to prepare it for planting.
So what are you tackling this week? For more tackles, inspiration and to share what you are doing go to 5 Min for Mom.

Okay. You win.
Digging/pounding fence posts is MUCH harder than cleaning house.
I’ve pounded fence posts before, so I know that was a job! Good for you, getting it done. I look forward to seeing how your garden comes along! I’m SO ready for spring and gardening. ;o)
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!
