I have a new picture for show and tell! I posted a couple months ago about the chalkboard I made. Don’t get me wrong. It is a great chalkboard but it was just not big enough. I will continue to use it but we have replaced it with this:

It is a really big dry erase board and it only set me back $11. Yep. I said $11! You can get a whole sheet (4×8 feet) at Lowe’s or Home Depot for less than $11. I could not fit the whole 8 feet of length in this house so dh cut it to 4×5 feet and then built the frame and lip with extra wood he had in the workshop. I am saving the rest of it (3×4 feet) for later. I am loving it! I can fit so much more on it. You can see our weekly verse, our Spanish verbs and 4 sets of multiplication facts. I still have plenty of room to keep writing! Woo Hoo!!!

I used to use a dry erase board, but the little kids kept getting the pens and leaving the caps off….Now we use a huge chalkboard which makes a lot of dust.(sigh)

Beautiful white board!!! I use mine constantly. My boys used to have “dry erase wars”. They would lay the white board on the floor and draw their armies in the 4 corners and then start drawing bullets, arrows and weapons of mass destruction shooting at each other. As the enemies were defeated, they were erased!
Ah, simple pleasures!
I’m enjoying reading your posts. It reminds me of us!
